Thanks to Linda the strange idea of a still life using a boring set of plastic cups was taken on with gusto by the group the other night.
I was diverted by the ridges in the plastic cups and forgot that we were meant to use the negative spaces to help solve the artistic puzzle of our weirdly assembled constructions. I wanted to enter mine into an architectural competition believing it to be crazy enough to win.
Peter also went off-piste as he suddenly started applying fantastic red stripes to his rendition of his arrangement.
Eileen found that more is better and by using many cups created so many [ ] negative spaces that it all fell into place beautifully.
All in all a splendid exercise from such uninspiring elements!
